Natural Beauty

Beauty products have long touted their love of almonds.

Your skin loves almonds too.

Several key nutrients17 found in almonds are linked to skin health, making them a delicious addition to daily beauty regimens:

  • Almonds are rich in antioxidant vitamin E, which may help protect cells from the damaging effects of free radicals, caused by pollution, UV rays from the sun, cigarette smoke and other environmental and intrinsic factors. One serving of 23 almonds (about 30 grams) provides 77% of your daily recommended vitamin E needs.18

  • You’ll find 8% of the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) for zinc in every 30-gram serving of almonds. Zinc helps maintain skin.

  • Two B vitamins also help maintain skin. Almonds offer 21% of the RDA for riboflavin and 7% of the RDA for niacin per 30-gram serving.

  • Almonds are high in copper (18% RDA per 30-gram serving), which plays a role in skin and hair pigmentation.

17 Nutrition claims are based on 100g. 18 Based on the RDA for sedentary men (10mg).
